From 683 to 745, Osaka was the capital of Japan, and even after the capital moved it still remained an important hub for land, sea, and river-canal transportation. Visit Osaka Castle and the surrounding Nishinomaru Garden, graced by over 4,000 cherry trees and a must-see in spring. Marvel at the stunning 360-degree views of the city and surrounding areas from the Aerial Garden Observatory, over 165 meters above the ground! Relax on a river cruise, passing Osaka Castle, Twin Towers, Nakanoshima Island, and much more, as you get a look at every side of this unique city.

Cancellation Policy

  • Any cancellations made between 8 business days (18:00 local time) to 2 business days (18:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 30% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made between 2 business days (18:00 local time) to 1 business days (18:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 40% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made between 1 business days (18:00 local time) to 1 hours prior to the activity start time will be subject to a charge of 50% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made after 1 hours prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.

Restrictions

  • Children (ages 0-5 years) will be able to participate for free under the following conditions. Tour: An individual seat will not be provided. Please have them sit on the lap of their parent or guardian. If there are seats available, they are welcome to use it, however they will not be getting a priority in seating. An individual meal or snack will not be provided as well. If you would like any of the above for children (ages 0-5 years), please book them as a child.
  • An additional JPY 630 must be paid for 4 and 5 year old children for admission to the Floating Garden Observatory. (As of May 1, 2019)
  • If less than 2 participants are booked, the activity may not operate.
  • If the Aqua Liner is not operating due to weather conditions, the tour will visit the Osaka Museum of History. Refunds will be given (JPY 1,700 for adults, JPY 850 for children) when the museum is closed (every Tuesday).

Additional Notes

  • Please note that even after the Floating Garden Observatory has been reopened, the rooftop may be closed due to inclement weather. Please note that in this case, refunds will not be provided.
  • Public transportation will be used. Seating may not be available.
  • The station used for transit to Osaka Castle is subject to change (Tenmabashi to Osakajokoen Station).
  • Vegetarian meals are available and must be requested at the time of booking.

Located on the 40th floor, enjoy 360-degree views of Osaka from this floating garden. An additional JPY 630 must be paid for 4 and 5 year old children for admission to the Floating Garden Observatory. (As of May 1, 2019)

Refuel for the afternoon's adventures with a Western-style lunch. Vegetarian options are also available but must be booked in advance.

This magnificent castle towers over the city. It was founded in the 16th century by Hideyoshi Toyotomi, a remarkable shogun of the Sengoku period, and is known as the symbol of his power.

Aqua Liner
Enjoy a soothing river cruise featuring views of Osaka Castle, Twin Towers, Nakanoshima Island, and much more! If the Aqua Liner is out of service due to bad weather or other operational concerns, the tour will visit the Osaka Museum of History instead.
